Get Out of Debt Quicker with the App: Qoins This post may contain affiliate links. Please see Disclosure Policy. I am always looking for plans, tips, or tricks to climb my way out of debt quicker than my snowball method will allow me. Each month I download my statements each month to review how many frivolous times I've swiped my card. I've spent up to $700 more than what I should have. $700 that could be used to pay down other debt, or pay for a trip, or get me four new bundles of hair from Madali Hair and an install with 4 washes after its installed and lashes. Whadahell did I spend that money on that month?!?! I'll tell you! Ebooks, food, school needs, baseball something. Did I mention food? Such as the food truck that comes to my job once a week. Ugh! But my friends, look no more! The Qoins app helps people get out of debt an average of 2 years early. Let's explore!
BOB Review of True Laundry Detergent Growing up in Archer and Gainesville Florida, my mom was a Gain woman when it came to washing our clothes. She stocked up on it like toilet paper/paper towels/water. When Y2K hit in 2000, I had water, little Debbie snacks, toilet paper, and Gain laundry detergent in my freshman dorm room courtesy of my mom. All I knew to love was Gain until about 3 years ago. In 2014, I set out to find products/services I used in my everyday life that is produced by Black-Owned Businesses. Please know I was soooo excited when I found True Laundry detergent. Honestly, this is product took some time for me to like it but I was on a mission. Below you will see why!
Where to find it:
- TrueProducts.com (use their rewards)
- Other sites (which I will not name because they took my money and did not send my product)
- Local stores (not many as of now)
DIY with Kiddies: Edible Silly Putty While on curfew due to Hurricane Irma, I decided to do something with my kids that took them away from the television and math/reading work I made for them. We couldn’t go to our haircut/braiding/shampoo appointments. We were bored and kept eating Irma Snacks. I wanted to do something with the kids that would have us bond and create dialogue. My babies were apart of the slime phase that happened last spring. I even bought them a kit I threw away. I got tired of seeing it all over the place. So I asked one of my besties, Pinterest, for ways to make something that is NOT slime. After looking at many pins I decided make slime with my nuggets.

I Woke Up Like Dis: How Affirmations Keep You Sane I am a mother to three young kids that are active. I have a full-time job that pays for my full-time bills and I have an obligation to return to it Monday through Friday so that they honor their commitment of a direct deposit every two weeks. I am a taxi cab owner that takes and or picks up kids from practices. I belong to clubs and are committed to being active. I can only think of those things right now but I know there’s more I do. I, like many of you, have a full life. It is imperative that I don't forget about me and take care of myself also. I do this by focusing on well-being, health, wealth, my end goal of firing my boss, and just one day having my life on autopilot going in the direction I want it to be headed. One way I do it is to chant my personal affirmations every morning before getting out of my bed.
What Are Affirmations?Affirmations are simple statements that are used
Kid's Attitude Towards Gratitude Blythe-" When we come in here I must get a toy!” Jhett-"Mom For dinner I want either McDonald's or Ale House” Tre'- "Don't worry Jhett. Mom will just buy us a new toy." When I say out of the mouths of babes?!?!? MY babies to be exact. I cringe hearing these statements come out of their mouths but I know they wouldn't have said it if they didn't perceive some truth to it. I know parents always want to "give their kids the life they never had" or " give them everything I had in life and more." But not I. My lack of resources made me resourceful. I turned out awesome! I'm all about splurges. (Check the debt posts.) But I'm not about spoiling. I want my Lil Nuggets to enjoy life, have memorable experiences, and receive rewards when warranted. I feel by working for something or towards a goal, they would have a better representation of reality and prepare them for the world. However those lies they tell above (but they've seen) alarmed me and
Should I Turn my Hobby into a Business? 3 Things to Ponder First The saying “do something you love and you’ll never work a day in your life” has been on my mind lately. I keep asking myself, “what do you like to do?!” The truth is, I love to do a lot of ish! I love to shop, sleep, eat, talk, travel, read, mentor college students, community service, work as a pharmacist, etc. I realized that all the things above involved me communicating with another person. So I like to stay connected. But how will I make money from any of that? I'm honestly trying to turn a side hustle into a sole provider of income. I’m trying to go from W-2 to 1099. I want to work for me. There are a few questions to really consider and if they are answered truthfully, then the next step is to make it happen! Below you will see three ideas to ponder and will help you decide if you should turn your hobby into a business.
